A great splash of pink for the 2011 Jog for Jugs - Australia!

Picture

Jog for Jugs

2011 was the very first year for Jog for Jugs, the first of its kind in Australia. It is a beach jog fundraiser supporting the Breast Cancer Network Australia and The National Breast Cancer Foundation.

After creating the Broadbeach event on the Gold Coast (QLD) in only 6 –7 weeks in 2011, I had more than 200 people attend the event and togther we raised $4000 from selling Jog for Jugs, NBCF and BCNA merchandise and from our huge prize raffle.

I have taken the event to more of our foreshores around the country to create a national focus with WA participating this year too. Plans are also underway for participation at Coogee Beach in NSW in 2013, St Kilda in VIC in 2014, Glenelg in SA in 2015, TAS in 2016 and a surprise location in the NT in 2017. The Jog for Jugs movement in the United States we hope will also join us in the near future.

So, the Jog for Jugs events this year will be held in two locations across Australia;
